Page completely different when previewing in desktop mode

Here's a screen recording of the issue. I constructed this page in desktop mode, but when previewing the page, it only looks the way I designed it in tablet view. When I preview the page in desktop view it looks completely different, so I cant figure out how to affect the way it will look in desktop view.
