Silex 3.7.3 is out.
Highlights :
- New CSS Variables plugin : define --primary-color etc. directly in the style manager, swap themes by changing values. Foundation for upcoming dark mode and themeable templates.
- MCP integration : Silex exposes editing capabilities (selectors, styles, content) through the Model Context Protocol so AI agents can interact with the editor. Available as stdio or embedded in the editor.
- Long list of bug fixes : WebKitGTK drag-and-drop (Linux usability), FTP save without src/, hover styling without selector workarounds (#1643), no more auto-generated IDs unless explicit, image-by-URL publishing, macOS file:// links, data source UI, Settings code editor selection.
- Early preview : Silex Desktop (Tauri-based) included in Downloads, not production-ready but ready for first testers.
