  • Website zip-file saves incorrectly

When I downloaded a zip file of my page and tried to open a html page of it, just to check how it looks, I can only see simplified text of the page, without all the edits and design I inclluded, am I saving the file or opening it the wrong way?
Or is it just not possible to see a website through file?

hello
yes i guess this is normal
you are supposed to see the website from a web server, did you put it online somewhere or did you just open the downloaded files in a browser from your local disk?
you can try dropping the downloaded files to https://neocities.org/

Hello, lexoyo, I uploaded it but it still doesn't open properly, is there a problem with CSS files not being read? Maybe I should organize the files somehow for it to work?

Would you share the url maybe?
Or any info that you have I can use to debug

lexoyo , I already found the reason. If this might be useful for someone, I used non-latin characters when I was naming certain pages, and when I downloaded the file, these html pages saved with no name, so when I downloaded and unpacked the zip file, empty html names were recognized as identical and only one got saved, this messed up the structure.
Sorry for bothering, appreciate your help
